After purchasing their so called RogueRemover PRO version, I got scammed. This program deleted all of my anti-spyware tools both free and paid versions), and also removed part of the windows registry. The program seems to be aimed at removing PC security products just keeping the PC vulnerable. I contacted them, and they said they are not resposible for anydamage caused by them to my pc, and they emailed me a piece of thier licence agreement that I accepted without reading carefully the fine print. Here is some of it for the users that would like to see.
‘————— EULA License Agreement for Rogue Remover —————-
You agree that regardless of the form of any claim, MALWAREBYTES’s liability for any damages or loss to you or anyone else shall not exceed the price paid for use of the program. NO OTHER WARRANTIES. Except for the warranty described in the above paragraph, there are no warranties expressed or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and all such warranties are expressly and specifically disclaimed.
4) NO LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES:
In no event shall MALWAREBYTES or its suppliers, if any, be responsible for any special, incidental or consequential damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for lost profits, business interruption, loss of information, or any other loss) arising out of the use or the inability to use this product, even if MALWAREBYTES has been advised of the possibility of such damage.’
Also I would avoid this program all together as it is written about in many areas on the web to be a virus or trojan. Stay with Mcafee anti-spyware for best results, and stay away from malwarebytes rogue product line.
