RogueRemover

Rogue-Remover

RogueRemover is a utility that can remove various rogue antispyware, antivirus and hard drive cleaning utilities. Rogue applications are applications that rather than remove spyware, provide false positives, distribute malware or spyware, advertise, or provide useless uninstallers.

The main point is that rogue applications are useless and eat up system resources. RogueRemover has the ability to completely remove WinAntiSpyware/WinAntiVirus, SpyAxe, VirusBlast, VirusBursters and many more!

Compatible with Windows 2000, NT, XP.

After purchasing their so called RogueRemover PRO version, I got scammed. This program deleted all of my anti-spyware tools both free and paid versions), and also removed part of the windows registry. The program seems to be aimed at removing PC security products just keeping the PC vulnerable. I contacted them, and they said they are not resposible for anydamage caused by them to my pc, and they emailed me a piece of thier licence agreement that I accepted without reading carefully the fine print. Here is some of it for the users that would like to see.
‘————— EULA License Agreement for Rogue Remover —————-

You agree that regardless of the form of any claim, MALWAREBYTES’s liability for any damages or loss to you or anyone else shall not exceed the price paid for use of the program. NO OTHER WARRANTIES. Except for the warranty described in the above paragraph, there are no warranties expressed or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and all such warranties are expressly and specifically disclaimed.

4) NO LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES:
In no event shall MALWAREBYTES or its suppliers, if any, be responsible for any special, incidental or consequential damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for lost profits, business interruption, loss of information, or any other loss) arising out of the use or the inability to use this product, even if MALWAREBYTES has been advised of the possibility of such damage.’

Also I would avoid this program all together as it is written about in many areas on the web to be a virus or trojan. Stay with Mcafee anti-spyware for best results, and stay away from malwarebytes rogue product line.

This Turned out to be a VIRUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It prevented my system restore, and deleted my rcovery partition, and the only way to get rid
of this since there is no uninstaller and all processes are locked , is to do a full recovery
from DVD, that caused my computer to loose all logical drives and my 300GB HDD became a 30 GB 1
Partition drive all because of this damn RogueRemover 1.11

Rogue Remover (RogueRemover) by MalwareBytes.org - AVOID THIS VIRUS PROGRAM. THIS SITE IS PART OF A SEXUAL AND ADULT WEBSITE CHAIN HOSTED BY ‘HostingGatesSEX.COM ‘ SEE WHOIS INFORMATION BELOW.

This program is a virus as it deletes PC security programs on a user’s PC under false and made-up claims such as this anti virus program was found to be rogue and should be removed. The user then gets conned into thinking that the purchased or free anti virus tool they are running is bad or malicious or rogue, and uses the rogue remover to remove their legitimate anti virus program. This Makes RogueRemover from MalwareBytes.org gain the ability to get rid of most (currently more than 300+ antispyware, anti-adware, anti-virus, anti-trojan, and other security legitimate programs) from the user’s machine making their machine vulnerable to the installations of adware, spyware, key loggers, trojans, worms, viruses and other internet born threats. Rogue Remover from MalwareBytes.org is also made by the creators of known hacker tools and viruses on the web.

Here are some of the creators of MalwareBytes.org ’s Rogue Remover ( RogueRemover ):
Robert Cooper, Marcin Kleczynski, Jack Morrissey

Their WHOIS information below shows that they have no connection to MalwareBytes.com, but they are just exploiting their name to re-direct web traffic to their website for a non-legal gain:

— THEY PROBABLY REMOVE anti-spyware, anti-adware, anti-Virus, anti-Trojans PRODUCTS, so they can propagate their smutt on the web and adult content.

WHOIS info link:
http://who.godaddy.com/WhoIs.aspx?domain=malwarebytes.org&prog_id=godaddy

Here are some of the other fake and rogue security tools they create can be found here:
malwarebytes .org, noidea .us, Spywarefix .org, SpywareWarrior .com

Here are more rogue security forums that propagate this software as they are trying to get rid of some of their own competing products. They stooped to a low enough level as to promote a rogue and malicious illegal software like RogueRemover from MalwareBytes.org for their own monetary gain.:

NoIdea .us, SpywareFix .org, MalwareBytes .org, SpywareInfo .com, Javacoolsoftware .com, SpywareWarrior .com, wilderssecurity .com and many others.

RogueRemover also removes registry fixing programs and registry cleaners - This is also another way to sabotage your PC. Think about it, if you had a virus or trojan in your registry and tried to clean and fix your registry, now you will not be able to.

Rogue Remover also removes key microsoft windows registry keys to make s easier for a hacker to attack and gain access to your PC. Here are some of the microsoft legitimate keys they remove:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\LEGACY_IPFILTERDRIVER
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\IpFilterDriver\Enum
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_IPFILTERDRIVER
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\IpFilterDriver\Enum

RogueRemover from MalwareBytes.org also removes many more registry keys by Microsoft Windows, but there are too many to post.

The bottom line is - who made RogueRemover the internet police for us users to remove our legitimate pc protection programs form our machines as they see fit. if those programs were really bad, then the federal trace commission would have stopped them like they did with a program called spy ferret (probably written by those gangs above). I personally think that they are the makers of spy ferret and are coming back for revenge as to remove all other pc protection software out there.

The RogueRemover and RogueRemover PRO programs can damage a user’s pc and remove legitimate security programs and tools, and will not be liable, as the user agres not to hold malwarebytes for their malicious actions resposible. See the license agreement below by MalwareBytes.org
———————————————————————————
License Agreement for Rogue Remover and RogueRemover PRO (EULA)

I recently had the misfortune of installing and encountering ‘bullseye’
RogurRemover installed these files. When i attempted to perform the usual remove program,
bullseye had the audacity to make me take a survey before it would go away.
Attempts to circumvent the survey elicited admonishments from diabolical bullseye.
One question asked what one would consider a reasonable number of pop-up ads one should
receive in a month-of course ‘zero’ was not an option. These demons no, i shouldn’t insult demons
with these people-who write and distribute RogueRemover With BullsEye need to be gored and stomped by a bull!

I just want to say the comment from “ShadowPuterDude” is not actually from that person. I have seen the actual comments from ShadowPuterDude concerning RogueRemover and they are always positive! It is from the same person who has been slandering this fine program and it’s author all over the Net for months now. RogueRemover does not use popups or install any other program. I does remove the aforementioned programs and that seems to really bother the person posting this slander.

Oh, how I wish I’d found this sooner!!!

Last night for no reason, Antivermins started popping up on my wife’s machine. Oddly enough, while a friend of mine and I hunted for removal information, Kay Kaparsky’s name kept popping up.

I am ShadowPuterDude. The person who is posting slanderous comments about RogueRemover is using my name maliciously. This individual has been posting negative, false and misleading information about RogueRemover.

To the individual using my nymn, this is your only warning. Cease and desist, any further use of my online persona, by you, to post negative and misleading information about RogueRemover will lead to me seeking compensation.

Most of the ‘reviews’ above are slander from KayKaspersky.
His standard messages, slandering RogueRemover and advising rogue programs like VirusBursters, VirusRescue, WinAntiSpyware 2006, WinAntiVirus 2006 as “legitimate and admired”, are clearly recognisable.
This way KayKaspersky put the computers of innocent people in danger.

KayKaspersky abuses the names of respectable and known malware-fighters like ShadowPuterDude and even the name of RogueRemover itself

KK is getting more ridiculous with each message this person posts.

LOL

I live in ESSEX and this is MY domain - what a laugh that this person can alter the meaning of a name so easily - It “Hosting At Essex” :)

We also have another domain “essex hosting” :) at the same server

NO, repeat NO, sex or other bad sites are hosted there.

Just shows how bad they wish to have such a good program taken down - it must be doing something right in hurting thier pockets.

I posted yesterday - why has this not yet appeared in the topic .

I am the owner of “HostingAtEssex.com” which is being maligned by the poster above. Notice the poster had to add an extra “G” in the name to make it look like we were bad.

We do not host any sex or any other bad sites.

What we do host is sites that assist victims of rogue software in regaining thier machines.

It includes

http://www.malwareremoval.com
http://www.malwarebytes.org
Both are members of the international organisation of ASAP
http://asap.maddoktor2.com/

http://forum.malwareremoval.com/viewtopic.php?t=4565
With over 30 MS MVP’s posting to our sites (including myself) - do you believe we are bad.

B. Sals is full of it. RogueRemover is a superb program, as anyone who’s bothered trying it knows. The Pro version is as legit as it gets, and its removal rate is far better than most comparable programs. Those who complain, you can be sure, are the very same slime who create and propagate such filth.

Well, from what I see, hmmm… what DO we call these people? No, wait, this apparently ONE person with multiple personalities, who so belligerently maligns a product such as RogueRemover?

The way I look at it, this person is one of two things:

A troll (someone who deliberately starts flame wars).
A creator or purveyor of one of the “admired” programs that RogueRemover terminates.

Either way, by the way they write, they are either a not very bright adult or perhaps a 13-year-old child. — No disrespect intended to most 13 year olds. –

I wonder how many other EULA’s this person has ever read. I’m pretty picky about what I put on my machine, so I read every one that I install. They pretty much ALL have clauses in them absolving or limiting their liability for consequential damages to the (users) machine.

MalwareBytes .org
SpywareInfo .com
Javacoolsoftware .com
SpywareWarrior .com
wilderssecurity .com
noidea .us
Spywarefix .org…..
…… some of the most respected and trusted anti-malware sites. In many cases, their staff is made up of entirely all volunteers who work tirelessly to rid victims computers of not only those “admired” programs listed above, but the havoc they can wreak as well.

We can only hope that people will see B.Sals et.al. comments for what they are: trash.
