Ping and trace route to an internet host. This freeware provides a direct Windows output instead of using existing command line utilities ping.exe and tracert.exe in Windows OS.
Ping is a network tool that tests communication with a remote computer. Ping utility send packets to a remote PC and waits for a reply measuring the time lag between and original request and a reply from a remote computer.
Tracert or traceroute (tracepath) is a computer network tool that trackes a path that network packets take on the internet in order to reach a remote computer system.
This all-in-one software allows you to change and save command line parameters directly from settings dialog and specify:
- Whether to resolve IP address to a readable host name
- Number of ping packets to send
- TTL - time-to-live of ICMP packet
- Timeout - how long to wait a reply from remote host
- Size of the ping packet
- Number of ping requests for traceroute command
- Number of hops for traceroute
- Traceroute timeout
