Crashes when trying to open DVD (Iron Man). This is on the very first attempt to use it.
System is a reasonably up-to-date XP.
Cannot recommend this, sorry.

Moving on to a new DVD ripper…I get the same “Trial Period” messages as a few others have mentioned. And if I try to go to the site it references to, nothing comes up. Either the site is down or has been removed. Perhaps there is a registry edit to turn back the “trial period” clock?

Anyway, thanks Free DVD Ripper for wasting HD space. If you want to install a “free” program just to waste space and eventually uninstall it from your computer, download this one.

Used this program on my PC and it is wicked fast. initally, like a dumbass I downloaded the AVS program, it was a little tricky for me to see which download link was correct.
After getting the right program I did have to fiddle with the settings (frame rate) but after like 30 minutes the rip came out great! and in only 15 minutes for a 45 minute track. good enough quality for my portable DVD player for sure.
I ripped the same track on my mac using hand brake and it took over 90 minutes. nice work dudes!

OMG, after fiddling with it for a day, this is a great (FREE) program! Rips better than the software that came with my video card!
