Can you burn movies to a disc with this program?
Can you then watch the movie on the disc on a dvd player?
That would be awesome!

I've tried this Free DVD Ripper on my 6mth old Vista PC and concluded that it does work. Installation was a breeze. And so far, I've had no spams nor pop-ups that I can find. However, compared to Magic DVD Ripper, the DVD quality generated by Free DVD Ripper is worse, while its file size is approx 33% bigger. The rip time is dependent on my settings on Free DVD Ripper, with Magic DVD Ripper consistently taking ~90% of real time, while Free DVD Ripper running anywhere from 67% to 200+% of real time (I actually gave up, so don't know how much longer it would take to finish ripping.) Also, thus far, like other posts, I cannot make Free DVD Ripper to rip into MP4 file, no matter my settings - it always gave me AVI file. I was very happy and would have stayed with Magic DVD Ripper, except that my trial period ran out & I haven't yet decided to pay the $40 cost, opting to check out other free rippers before deciding. I also found that, on certain settings, when playing 2 of the same movies side by side, the one ripped from Free DVD Ripper would run slower, or skipped, or getting wavy. I'm still experimenting with Free DVD Ripper and will post further results, along with steps that I'd taken to run this software, hopefully, to help out those who's having trouble running this product.
