AMCap

AMCap is a small yet fully functional video capture and preview application compatible with Microsoft DirectShow (formerly ActiveMovie, hence the name). It is based on the sample AMCap source code from the Microsoft DirectX 9 SDK. added many features, including:

DV camcorder playback and recording
improved TV tuner suppport and management
still capture in BMP, JPEG and PNG
optional real-time compression
remember Video Input, Video Standard and Video size from previous session
full screen mode
support for multi-monitor and deinterlacing (using VMR9)
caption bar and menu on/off
always on top feature

The VMR9 option enables support for the multi-monitor, zooming, aspect ratio and deinterlacing features (Microsoft DirectX 9.0 required.)

This program is NOT freeware.

Its CRIPPLED SHAREWARE.

It stops working after 20 minutes, thus ruining ALL programing (I don’t know any shows that are only 20 minutes long, most run AT LEAST 30!).

Please remove this from your freeware listing. The author has decided to limit the use of his software by attempting to extract money. Because you (sadly) don’t keep your own archive of the software you feature, there is now only the money-grabbing version available. The original freeware version has (naturally enough) been deleted from his site.

This is a SHAREWARE product. You are given a 20 min period in which to evaluate it before it shuts down with a plead for money.

Remove it from your site or change your domain to sharewarezoom.com please so people don’t waste valuable time and effort downloading this crap expecting it to be freeware or worse still, come to your site expecting to find FREEWARE when in fact you list PAYWARE.

This not free version of the Microsoft Amcap is WORSE than v1.0 !
